Are all carers DBS checked?
Absolutely. All carers at Unicare hold current Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks. The safety and wellbeing of your child is our absolute priority.
Do you have paediatric first aid?
Yes, we hold a current Paediatric First Aid qualification and regularly renew it. We are fully prepared to handle any medical situation that may arise.
πŸ‘Ά About the Care
What ages of children do you care for?
We welcome children aged 4 years and above up to 11 years (school age). We specialise in pre-school children, reception age, and school-age children for before and after school care.
What is your approach to early learning?
Our activities are planned around the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework β€” the statutory curriculum for children aged 0–5 in England. We focus on learning through play, creativity, outdoor exploration, and hands-on activities.
Do you provide meals?
Yes! We provide nutritious, home-cooked meals and healthy snacks throughout the day. We are happy to accommodate dietary requirements, allergies, and cultural preferences. Please let us know when you register.
What is your daily routine like?
We have a flexible but structured day that includes free play, focused activities, outdoor time, meals, rest, and story time. Routines are adapted to each child's age, stage, and individual needs.
πŸ’· Fees & Funding
Do you accept childcare vouchers or Tax-Free Childcare?
Yes! We accept Tax-Free Childcare payments and various childcare voucher schemes. We can also help you access government funded hours for eligible children aged 4 years and above.
How much do you charge?
Our rates are competitive and vary depending on the type and hours of care needed. Please contact us for a personalised quote based on your requirements. We offer transparent, all-inclusive pricing with no hidden fees.
How do I secure a place?
To secure a place, we first arrange a free settling-in visit so you and your child can meet us and see our setting. A signed contract and deposit are then required to confirm your place.
